Awesome trip with Captain Wendell.  Our first trip for Stripers on SML....and it won't be the last.  The two of us caught about 35....and even started out the morning in the falling snow.  Call Captain Wendell....

On Saturday, Of July 2. 2011, We went fishing with captain Wendell For the first time. I have to say Wendell ranks #1 among all guides and even regular fishermen. He knows just exactly what to do when things dont seem right. And with his Lawrence fishfinder, he can almost predict when, and which rod is gonna have a bite. We caught our limit that day and I would recommend Wendell as ANYBODY'S Striper service guide.

Aug 14, 2011 - We fished with Captain Wendell on August 8 and had a great time, I have fished Smith Mountain for over 20 years with many different guides and have to say his knowledge of the lake and sripers rank amoung the best! We caught our limit and had a great meal that night. Thanks Wendell, see you next year for sure.

Aug 9, 2011 -  We just got back from an awesome half day on the lake. Wendell delivered. About an hour in we were into Striper. I heard Wendell say there are fish all under us. He started setting the rods. The first bait hit the water dropped to about 35 feet and BAM! - There were five of us with fish on within minutes. we caught about thirty total and had some mighty fine keepers in the mix. A few other boats made their way over to us and I heard one guy say "Wendell must have different electronics than the rest of us" - LOL. I don't know what it was, but Wendell hooked us up and we hooked up some fish. Can't wait to book another fishing trip to the lake. Thanks Wendell.

Jul 7, 2011 - Wendell did a great job finding fish for us. The first one we caught was over 20 lbs. And was quickly followed by 10 more in the 10-15 lb range. I will be fishing again with Wendell soon.

Fantastic experience with Captain Wendell on 7/2/2011. Our charter included 2 adults and 4 children approx ages 10-12. There is no doubt you will catch fish. Kids were hesitant but had the time of their life. At one point we had 8 bass hooked at the same moment. Very exciting and great memories. This will be an annual trip....Kids...adults...great eating. Thanks for the great experience.

 I went on a trip today and had a great time! Captain Wendell Dudley quickly put us on a school of stripers and we caught several good sized fish. I had a great time and hope to take another trip soon!

We went on a Striper fishing trip with Capt. Wendell on April 11, 2011. We had a great time. As Capt. Wendell will tell anyone, I was probably his most toughest customer of all. I have never liked fishing at all, but this was a Christmas present that I got for my husband who LOVES fishing. By the time that our 8 hour guide was complete, I did not want to get off the boat. We are eager to get back and see Capt. Wendell and Liz who was an equal delight to fish with. We have already tasted some of the Striper that we caught. He knows his stuff and we recommend him highly. Thanks again Wendell and Liz.
